About Natural Gut

Natural gut, preferred by all professional players, offers the needed elasticity for smooth, easy shots. Natural gut is composed primarily of collagen, a natural fiber derived from the intestinal lining of cows. This fiber is able to withstand the stretching and contraction, while maintaining its strength and resisting fatigue.

 

Compared to synthetic strings, a natural gut string offers better control over the ball because of its excellent “ball pocketing” i.e. its extended contact with the ball.
